is anyone else interested in either a checkbox that says "don't use audio units" or at least a box to specify the audio units folder in case you want to trim down to just the AU plugs you want to use in reaper (EG: the plugs that only come in AU format) ???

absolutely...no use for all the AU clutter here; I would love to check a box that would make it go away.

+1 I just searched for this and found this thread. I think it would be best to have a function to "un-check" plugins to ignore them. So you can just uncheck all the Apple ones and still use your own Audio Units.
