What bit rate are you bouncing the song(s) to? If you are using 24bit that might be your problem. Bounce them to 16bit for burning to CD.

When bouncing, select output as wav, 16 bit, 44.1k, stereo interleaved. What burning software btw?

Thanks for the help. I am using Roxio Creator Classic. I have not tried bouncing as a .wav file, just Real Audio at this point. Is there something inherently different about doing in .wav? I have been going at 16 bit 44100 stereo. Maybe that is it. I will try the .wav file option when I get home tonite. Any other tidbits are greatly appreciated.

Yes....always bounce as .wav for burning CDs. Real Audio will downsample the quality of the audio horribly.

Yep- as last poster said. I do not even have any Real network stuff on my systems anymore. More invasive than most spyware IMO. Horrible, horrible stuff to have on any system, unless one does not care. Sorry, after spending time learning about what that software does, I would rather simply not listen to/see a clip someone has, no matter how interested I am, than have it sit on my system. <rant off>

an EVIL RODENT... Avoid it by all means ! My school of thought is; have a barebones, solid PC for your work only. Then on a second ( third or fourth, etc...) machine install all the remaining crap. Network 'em, so files could easily be moved around on command. cheers,
