+1 This wouldn't even need to be completely new feature, but just alternative system for stretch markers. If they allowed "floating" behavior stretch marker envelope and more than just linear curves they could basically handle these situations. Stretch markers can already technically do all this, but they are pain in the ass to work with for sound design.
