Hey Ya'll - I've been noticing that there is a lot of hum noise that I hear when I turn up the volume on my monitors when hearing the ALT SRC input (which is the sound output from the Mac) ... I've got Monster RCA cables coming from the audio outputs of the Mac (mini plug that Y's into the RCA monster cables), which plug into the ALT SRC RCA inputs on the back of the 002 ... I haven't tried plugging the G4 into a "ground lift" or anything yet as that would be a last resort - is this normal? Even less than having the volume 1/2 way, the buz is noticeable enough when listening to music. Update: I noticed that the buzz comes and goes ... now, I hear no noise at all coming from the outputs of the G4. When I turned the computer off, all was quiet, and the buzz was silent through when I booted up the CPU - and it was clean during the opening "chime" sound ... and then when the drives started waking up the buzz came back ... but only until the "login" screen, and now it's all gone again ... maybe it's picking up interference from a drive, CPU, etc ... but now it's quiet again. Any suggestions? Thanks, FRED
