Windscreen off side pillar seal

Slight accident and broken windscreen. The offside front pillar is very slightly dented but a new screen should slot in ok. Trouble is I will need a new sealing strip, that is the one which comes up the windscreen pillar and back over the doors down to the bottom of the rear windscreen. This plastic strip was slightly damaged on the front pillar in the accident Am geting windscreen people to come out and replace screen but will they fix me in the new seal if I get one which goes along the edge of the roof as I have described. Would it be ok to buy one from a scrap yard or do I need to get a new seal from Volvo costing the earth. I suppose I ought to get this seal before the windscreen fitter comes out so all the bits are ready for him. I dont want to be fobbed off by fitters so advice very much appreciated. Thanks Tom

strip 

the strip you refer to is just for cosmetic reasons, as it hides the channel where the roof joins the body,thus a replacement from a breakers will be allright. paul
