Lee, thanks for reponding. I just got off the phone with Kenny at Granite Digital. Basically the two types of fixed enclosures (vs swapable) One which has been around for a while (two fans) and a newer model with the "smart " feature (hd. diagnostic system) price $139 and $189 respectively. The newer ones are also smaller and come with only one fan. Do you or anyone else have any experience with these new "smart" enclosures? Are they worth the extra $ or just one more thing that can go wrong? David
The only thing I'd be concerned about is that Oxford 922 (1394b) is knocking on the door, so you might not want to make too large of an investment in Oxford 911 stuff, especially if you're thinking of one of the next generation Macs. Lee Blaske
