Fuel gauge issue

This thread has saved me posting about the size of the tank. My fuel warning light came on and range said 50 miles to empty, drove for another 40ish miles and filled up expecting to put 70-80 litres in tank - car only took 60! Have only just got car so have not done many fill ups. Maybe Volvo have tricked us and the T6 engine is a work of genius and we are actually getting 45mpg!! I had done a fair few miles when i went to fill up and if there was 20 litres left the range of the car and the combined mpg is actually very good for a twin turbo:Banane44: Is anyone brave enough to carry a 5 litre can in the boot and find out what the real range is?!!

I'm brave and willing however the missus has the car during the week for work so I don't drive it regularly enough to be able to gauge when the tank will dry up... Also in Canada it is illegal to have a jerry can in the boot of a vehicle! Hasn't stopped me before though.
