how do you mean "generated" ? What was the source, resolution, framerate, etc..?? CCE won't take every .avi out there.

MGIVideoWav5 allows me to generated my movie with high quality by using the provided DV AVI format : 720x480 NTSC,Audio 32khz, 16bit stereo But CCE cannot import this file ???!! Might be coming from the audio track.... So actually, my only way to process is to convert to MPg2 fomat-->dvd2avi-->CCE-->Maestro.....but the quality is not so great :(

OK. I found the solution.... No need CCE or TMPEG anymore ....or any encoder tool....to get the perfect quality of your DV AVI. Use "ULEAD DVDWorkshop" to do the authoring....it is really a powerful tool. It can take your DV Avi high quality and generate the Disc image. You just need to indicate the type of quality....DVD 60mn, DVD 90mn, DVD 120mn.... Also, it is really straigthforward to use. Easy to build your DVD menus..... Of course, it is not free but

CCE 2.5 doesn't support DV from what I hear, just use AVISynth. Please do not use DVD Workshop to do the encoding. Your video will thank you.

I'm using CCE 2.64 and, yes, as Faceman101 said, it doesn't support DV format because it doesn't have any DV Codec within its own package. However, once I installed DV Codec, it worked fine and treated DV AVI as a normal AVI file ;)
