It seems to me that all the mixing techniques that he used in the original in Pro Tools could easily be ported to another host already. Maybe its because I am familiar with Pro Tools to begin with, but figuring out what he is doing and applying it to another host seems pretty straight forward. If he is going to add new techniques then it may be worth it.

Some possible things to suggest when you talk to Charles about this are: -- Since Reaper is distributed as uncrippled shareware, it would mean ANYONE can download Reaper and use his exact techniques. Or perhaps they might discuss with Cockos the option of distributing a demo copy of Reaper with the DVD? One would think that this could allow for even broader use/sales of his DVD, since it wouldn't leave out anyone, no matter what DAW they currently use. This would be about as universal as it gets (short of using every DAW on the market)! -- Since routing is so flexible in Reaper, he could probably (more easily) demonstrate some more "old school" techniques from the days of mixing on hardware consoles. For example, perhaps this would offer a good opportunity to really get into side chaining in his demonstrations.
