Hi, i'm using a lot of "Render as new take" commands and i have discovered when i do that, the new take "rendered" is in 24bit .. is it normal ? i have looked everywhere in my settingsq, project properties, i've always asked for 16bit .wav (and of course, the item i'm using to Render as new take is in 16bit .wav) Is it a bug ? (tested in 2.54 and newest alpha) Thanks in advance

Main menu File->Project Settings... In Audio Settings tab you'll find: Set media format for apply FX, glue, open copy, etc There you can define your audio format for "render items to new take".

Why do you want to render to 16 bits anyway, unless its a render of the complete project ? Yves

Thanks Mercado Negro, i had not seen these settings.. Yves, i have imported many tracks in .wav 16bit and i'm splitting them into small parts before using 'render to new take' to make new .wav files. I could use the new files in 24bit but is it useful as long as the very first .wav was a 16bit one ?
