hey guys, I'm trying to decode a pal dvd with cce. dvd2avi says the source is interlaced but i don't see any interlacing lines when i let it run with Field Operation at None this is what bitrate says about the source: Pic. structure: Frame Field topfirst: Yes DCT type: Field Quantscale: Linear Scan type: ZigZag Frame type: Interlaced what mpeg2 video settings should i use here: i hope you guys can help me out. thnx in advance!

dont alter the field order, altho if its progressive, i WONT do anything, zig zag doesnt matter, not sure exaclty what its benefits are actually ;) Enf...

i also had a question about the field order. even though bitrate viewer says "top field first" and the image has "top field first" as UNchecked, you still say not to change it? is bitrate viewer wrong? or does it really not matter what you check in CCE? in one of the doom9 guides it says to check field order by opening TMPG and loading your d2v project. you set a field order, go to deinterlace and run a filter and see if the motion is jumpy. if it is, you switch field order and check again. is THIS the way to determine field order (rather than simply using bitrate viewer) or what? thanks.
