twistee : what does the SP3 do? i was informed ( read: secondhand infomation ) that sp3 is only 7 extra megs on top of sp2 ...

Instead of guessing, why not read what M$ claims is in it? Among other things, Automatic Updates gets installed.

Hi, it add's MPEG-2 decoding with the Ligos engine. So finally MPEG-2 playback works w/o installing a SoftDVDPLayer. You needs it. mike
