anaog and digital inputs together

Anyone using both the analog i/o's and the lightpipe i/o's with some sort of A/d converter for a total of 16 analog i/o? What devices are being used for the A-D lightpipe conversion? I am looking for something that will give me 8 +4 i/o to interface with the 001 lightpipe i/o. Any suggestions, or preferably, comments from someone actually doing this? Thanks

Alesis released the Ai3 which does as you ask, but as far as i know it is no longer in production. You may be able to pick one up second hand. There are also others available but I cannot remember who makes them. Hope this helps.

Alesis AI-3 ( still in production as far as I know ), PreSonus Digimax ( 8 ch. mic pre/line TRS w/ lightpipe out ), RME ADI 8 Pro ( pretty similar to Alesis ). Some people use a Roland VC8, although it does only 20 bits.
