split item at marker?

Folks, I have a track (from an old 4-track tape that had bounced stuff together) with a lead vocal, and a lead guitar on the same track. I used markers to identify where the vocal ends/guitar starts, etc., but I don't see a way to split these using markers. I'd like to get a "guitar track" and a "vocal track" out of the combined single track -- ????? Simple how-to (or pointer to where to look in the manual)??

Click on the marker and the edit cursor will jump right upon it. Then use the split command. Note, that when no item is selected, all items will be split at the edit sursor.

You can also press the number of the market on your keyboard to jump right there. So, you can press "1", jump to the first marker, and just press "s" to split. Hope that saves some time.

Thanks -- is there any way to split at ALL markers at once, or do I have to do this one at a time? I have something like 14 markers where the track changes from vocal to guitar and back -- I'd like to do this in one shot if possible.

Also, after splitting, how do I pull every "other" split item out to it's own track -- I'm guessing I need to select every other split item, then do a Copy Selected Items, create a new track and paste them to that?? Is there any easier way to do this (would Render items to new track work if I only select every other split item)?
