Hi Folks, :) Have had a good look through and can't really find the specific information I require. I have tried twice to burn MP3 CD's that will play in the standard S40 (56 plate) CD player. first one was burnt as a data disc with random MP3s this was a failure. Second attempt was burnt using the MP3 Jukebox Disc option within Nero, failed again. Simply states the disc is unreadable. I've ruled out the discs themselves as I can play them when I have converted an album to full audio. How do you folks get this working and what programs do you use? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Tommy H
right it may sound daft but does your car play mp3 or is it you want to convert mp3 to audio if its audio you need to use nero but do audio cd but load the mp3 files to convert to standerd audio just a thought

That will be the exact problem. From looking at James S70, it doesn't play mp3 cd's. I se nero which is one of the most popular programs and as craig has said, you need to use the audio cd option which will then convert the mp3/wav/wmv files into an audio cd that any cd player will recongise (sp?). Hope this helps.
it should play mp3's and wma files, but not in their raw state, i.e. a cd full of 700 or so mp3 songs, it will play them burned onto a cd which can record the song duration onto cd in my 3005 s40

Just another request to check the model number of the CD/radio to check. If told by a dealer you can play MP3s are you sure they didn't mean via a CD changer (multichanger)? (also assuming your cd/radio has that option). Failing that are you sure the reference was to MP3 files on a CD and not via a MP3 player plugged into the cd/radio? I know this doesn't answer the original question but clarification often helps :)
