Trying to backup a movie and my usual method goes wrong for some reason. The file I get is the correct legnth (a little over 2 hours) if import it into DVDMaestro... but its not been reencoded yet. After reincode with CCE is finished its only about 1 hour and 45 min long... This has happened with 2 movies so far. Any ideas? Oh yeah I'm using DVD2DVDR to rip the streams then encoding them with CCE and loading them into DVDMaestro (cause Scenarist crashes no matter what I do for some reason) When I encode I'm using the script/setting file the DVD2DVDR makes for me. Figureing that was the problem I tried to encode from scratch using the Getting the best out of CCE guide on this site... same issue. HELP!!!

Duh I'm stupid... the guide does not do this. Seems the problem was caused because the ECL file I had gave the incorrect end frames. (Ended at frame 260000 or something like that instead of the actual end of the file) I have a way to look up the end frames but its a very slow round about method... anyone know the easiest way to check this?

If you have the DVD2AVI project file then you could just open it in Gordon Knot and it'll display the no. of frames ;)

May seem obvious but are you using win 98 as it only deals with file sizes less than 4 gig
