Hi all. My 940 (2.0 LPT) has started to occasionally run quite fast on tickover after it has warmed up. I'm talking of 10, 11, 1200 rpm. Anything I should look at? It's a 1993 Wentworth wagon with just over 90,000 miles. All advice much appreciated. Regards, Mudhook.

Have you checked the OBD for codes? Clean the idle valve and throttle body. The idle valve should be free to move.

I hadn't thought to check the OBD thingy as there's no light on the dash. I thought that I would only have a fault code if the dash light (lambda?) went on. Am I wrong here? Regards, Mudhook

Not all faults activate the light.
