If I go into REaper...color themes....there are only a few themes there. Howthehellever....I really have about 14 or 15 color themes. Alot of them are from the old version...sooo, I'd like to delete them to save confusion...but......where the hell are they if there not under color themes? And by the way...that's where I put them.....and.....if I put them in the wrong place.....I wouldn't be able to use them...sooo, I'm confused.
As you know the color schemes can be found in the C:\Program Files\REAPER\ColorThemes folder. If you can't see the folder and Reaper is still finding the color schemes, it's very likely that the 'hidden' attribute for that folder is set to 'on'. Worth checking out. :)
I ran into this same problem a short while back. I was making small changes to some themes and saving them under new names. I would just select 'save as', and notice that the default path was going to Reaper - Color Themes. So I thought everything was fine. Some time later, I realize that my themes are getting to be too many so I figure I would just delete some of the ones that I don't use anymore. I browse to the Reaper - Color Themes folder and they are not there. However, when Reaper is open and I choose Options - Color Themes, they are showing up there. I started a thread about this a while back and we never could get it resolved. What I started doing was, when saving changes to themes I would be sure to start the save browser all the way back to the beginning of the tree and then browse to the Reaper Color Themes folder. When I did it this way, my modified themes showed up in the Color Themes folder. My only guess is that the previous themes that I modified and saved without browsing went somewhere else that only Reaper could find when it was open...
I guess that your ColorThemes folders are not "hidden". Have you got 2 installations of Reaper? If so, there will be a ColorThemes folder in each one. When you start Reaper, the themes is loaded from a absolute path/file name in the .ini file, e.g. C:\Program Files\REAPER\ColorThemes\Default.ReaperTheme, but the [Options] >> Themes menu lists the themes in the sub-folder alongside where the Reaper program is. So you can start one version of Reaper but load a theme from another installation of Reaper. When you go to select another theme the correct folder will be accessed. Does that make sense?

If you happen to be on Vista, try looking here: C:\Users\YourNameHere\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\P rogram Files (x86)\REAPER\ Microsoft decided that "real" software should never store user data in Program Files, so any programs that try to do so are quietly redirected to a fake Program Files in your user folder.
