I've adjusted every option in the quantize window but every time I play any type piano, organ, or string line my notes get chopped up or stacato. Drums are fine

are you changing the attacks, finishes or what... that might chop the notes up. also, check the sustain levels for the staccato problem. you can check it under controllers on the pulldown menu. (the one that says notes on it) if that doesn't help, i'm all out of ideas, i'm just getting used to quantizing myself.

In the Quantize window, you want the following: What to Quantize: Attacks: [checked] Releases: [not checked] Don't Change Note Durations: [checked] with these options selected, you will only be quantizing the attack of each note, and not the length. The reason why your drum tracks weren't affected is that drum samples are very short transient sounds that don't sustain, so you don't notice if quantizing chops the endings or not, as long as there is some sort of attack present, the sound will play. Try those settings, they should give you what you are looking for. - Slim
