Just got new Power Mac G4, can\'t get Pro Tools to work!?

I was using protools on my Gateway PC, but I just bought a mac. A number of things are going wrong. It is version 5, not the new 6 (yet). 1. I can't get the sound card into the slot of the mac. it goes in like half way. 2. I can't find where to make all the memory changes for Protools. The OS is different from older macs. 3. Everytime I try to setup the USB setup(i think it is called or maybe OSB)my computer freezes. Any help is much appreciated.

Hello, It sounds like you may have a new Mac that only boots into OS X. I would first confirm whether or not it will boot into OS 9. If it will not boot into OS 9, you will need to update to Pro Tools 6.0. Pro Tools 5.x will not run on your machine unless it can boot into OS 9. Pro Tools 5.x will also not run in classic mode. How can I tell if I can run version 9 or not. And how do I change it?
