Maybe unusual to post this next to all questions about something that doesn't work, but I really like to congrate the person that developed DVD Decrypter. It was only way for me to rip a certain DVD that I tried to rip twice, after seeing it on my stand-alone player. Although my PC's player said it was to damaged to play and all rippers incl SmartRip and vStrip didn't get very far. (no offense intended maybe I did not try hard enough) I decided to have a go with Dc and okay I had to skip 4123 read errors but at least the near to perfect sum was on my HDD and I was able to work from there. And badly damaged as it were, it was the only copy at my vidshop so I'm really chuffed. So, "sombreros lejos" to Dc and yes I will go to the site and donate a full $.

Yes,same here.A lot of damaged dvds were able to be ripped with DD.A big thanks from me also for this great great program. And a question: when I select the dir where the vobs will be ripped in my hd,is there an option to extract the vobs with a name I want like sr did? For example instead of using VTS_01_1.VOB I d like to use movie.vob
